Will my Samsung Galaxy phone work in China

I now have a phone with a China Mobile number in China.
Someone just gave me an unlocked Samsung Galaxy S3 Verizon 4GLTE plus GSM phone. Will this phone work in China and allow me to transfer my China Mobile number to it?
